first mod??
wuts up fellow mustang lovers. i have a black 06 mustang v6 pony package and i was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for me about what my first modifacations should be to my car. ive tinted my windows and the next thing i was thinking about getting was a new chip for it or a tuner, but im not too sure which to get. if anyone has any suggestions about what my first mods should be or anything i would appreciate it. thanks... kid robotzero
Nice ride! And... welcome to the board!
I'd go with an SCT X-cal 2 from Doug at http://www.bamachips.com/ or Lideo at Alternative Auto. They have some of the best tunes in the business.

I agree w/Scrib....go True duals and then get a CAI (Cold Air Intake) and if you can afford it get the Mod chips (Bamachips)...
You will notice a nice change with just the first 2!

The #1 bang-for-buck mod on these V6 Mustang's is to replace the (very restrictive) stock muffler.

If you want to just replace the muffler, I would suggest the MRT exhaust or otherwise known as the Aero-turbine. Scrmg has information on it and seems to get the best rwhp gain for the price. It sells for $225 from MRT. Since I live near them, I am planning on making an appointment to have one installed. If my memory serves me, I think you get 10-15 rwhp gain just from the muffler without a tune. It all depends on your budget or how much you are willing to spend.
I have ordered a K&N 63 series aircharger (7-8 rwhp w/o tune hopefully if dynos are accurate) because do not want to spend the money on a tune right now. I also want to save money for a sunroof [8D]
