Help me fellow mustang lovers!
Hello everyone! totally new to this forum. I'm buying a 2006 Mustang V6 convertible 5-spd. I really love the look of the car. My husband and I had a kind of a deal or competition going. [sm=bicker.gif] he thinks that his Mazda 3 2.3L is going to kick my ***.
I told him NO WAY your going down! but I honestly have no clue if I would beat him. I'm just looking for some basic information that I can't seem to find on google. Please help me out guys!
Here is what I know so far.
Mazda 3 2.3L
160 hp
150 lb ft torque
2800 lbs
about 8.0s 0-60, 16s 1/4 mile
How fast are these V6 Convertibles? I mean 1/4 mile.
How much do these cars weigh? He told me that the convertibles weigh more than the coupe by 200lbs so its "even slower" Is he just BSing me??
Please help guys he knows more about cars than me and I wanna rub it in his face when I win at the 1/4 mile track.

15.3 and 6.9 0-60 for an auto v6 coupe...a 5-speed vert should be right around those numbers. You should kill him, Mazda 3 2.3 is a low 16 sec car.
