Default PARKING

In late winter I had a problem with my E-brake (i think its a well known problem). The dealership apparently fixed the problem, and said it shouldn't return. Well to be safe my brother told me that I shouldn't use the E-Brake when I park, and that I should simply leave it in first or Reverse. My 2005 V6 is my weekend car, and I'm not sure if its the fact that I drive an old Jeep wrangler during the week, but when i do take my stang out for a spin, I feel that my first gear isnt as responsive as before (i.e., its not as quick from a complete stop). Is leaving it in First or Reverse during the week affecting the timing of the clutch and gas (I dont know anything about cars so this might be completely wrong)?? Or can it just be the fact that they are two entirely different cars??

i had a 2000 Black Mustang GT SuperCharged and always left it in gear with parking brake. I dont think it should do anything but if you park on hills alot it might be possible that it can wear down your gears or atleast the gear u have it in. But if your parked on level or semi-leveled land you should be fine. But if you park on hills alot you should leave it in gear cause gears will wear down alot slower than an E-brake.

leaving it in gear when parked cant wear anything, because nothin is moving. Its all in your head along with warmer temps hurtin the cars performance

What do you mean "...with warmer temps hurtin the cars performance." Does the warmer temp really have much of an effect?

lmao yes! cold air means its less dense you can stuff more into your combustion chamber for more power

about the 1st gear thing, you not using th3e e-brake or using it is irrelevant to the issue, you car sat a week.. lol it lost a bit of pep, it will come back.. and even then, from brand new i noticed my car lost a lot of pep, then randomly it was better than new, now its like its dead again lol.. it has a lot to do with the weather...

also i have 40,000km on my car

and i see we have another boomtruck opperator i opperate a 25ton manitech boomtruck which is sitting on a freightliner, on the weekends.. lol i work for ford during the week lol

It could be different gas, warmer air, air conditioning on, your seat adjusted improperly....[sm=chairshot.gif]

lol TNT,
i gotin my car today after trap practice and put the clutch in,turned the key and it wouldn turn over i was like WTF? then i remembered that i had moved my seat back tolisten tomusic before practice! lol i wasnt putting the clutch on on the floor.! lol

and blackfoot-
lmao yes! cold air means its less dense you can stuff more into your combustion chamber for more power
i think your mixed up. lol Cold air is much MORE dense, therefore denser air in the same combustion chamber = more oxygen to burn. LOL. yes it went from being 30(wherei floor it in second and my tires chirp) to 85 (where my tires barely chirp in first LOL) yeah it makes alot of difference
