Has anyone had problems with the Shaker 500 system skipping? It is anoyyyyying!!

yup... the problems with the Shaker units are well documented. There's a TSB out for it... take it back to your dealer and demand a replacement.

yeah mine skips, got stuck on a tune the other day (like old needle record players )....

My Shaker 500 works perfectly well and has never had a skipping problem.

It didn't earn it's "Skipper 500" nickname for nothing [:@] I've read posts about people who are on their 3rd or 4th unit and it STILL skips. Mine has never once skipped, but I don't play CDs that often.

Same here, all is well with mine....except for that archiac inability to run tracks without a 2 second pause in between...never known such a thing.

I have the shaker 1000 and haven't encountered any problems yet.

Yeap mine skipped a few times but i thought it was the cd.Check to make sure the cd does not have a bunch of scratches on it.
