Good grades mean nothing when it comes to driving (no offense to anyone)...you can have the best grades and still drive like a maniac or lack experience in driving which may cost accidents to happen!

I've never understood this insane notion that good grades equals good driver. There is no proof that someone who gets good grades is a better driver than anyone else. Driver discounts for grades is nothing more than a marketing ploy to bring in more business... and it works.

I'm 18 and I only pay $400 every six-months on my 'Stang. I'm also on my parents plan though.

Back when I was 18 and I was paying insurance on my 280zx (PIP/Liability), I think I was paying $38-$45 a month. Cheap.

wow, okay i guess thats better than i thought. No, actually i checked geico last night and it was 937 quoted online. Im not sure what company it is, but i do know its not the same as our home-owners. I'm definately gunna check on sticking them as the primary. I just dont see explaining it if i do have an accident 200 miles from home. lol.
If you live in a metropolitan area and go to school in a more rural area, you can get the rates from where you go to school applied if you're there the standard 8 months out of the year. I saved about $75/mo. on insurance when I was in college because I told them I took my car to school with me, and they gave me the rates for the area I went to school, not where my car was registered.

it doesn't mean you are a good driver. IT means you are less likely to try something idiotic. For example:

Who is more likely to try parking lot tricks in a parking lot that has cars all over?

a. A kid with a 0.2 GPA
b. A kid with a 4.0GPA

the answer is a.
