Shift Kits

Just wondering if anyone knew if any companies made a shift kit for these automatic transmissions? I just find myself manually shifting 1-2-3-D a lot of times and want to make sure I'm not damaging anything?

Can't add a shift kit to our cars... it's all computer controlled! If you pick up an SCT X-Cal2 you will find that your shifting in greatly improved! Things like shifts points and shift firmness are all setup in the tune...

BTW... maually shifting should not be a problem because the computer is still controlling the shift! Even if you push the shifter from 1 to 2 or 2 to 1 the computer will NOT make the shift until it thinks it is safe to do...

I think the ratios and shift points of the five speed are about perfect. It was one of the first things that I noticed compared to our old 99 MUSTANG. That shifted late from first to second and only had four speeds.

I have an xcal so i figured the computer had something to do with the shift control. I just didn't know if there was something more that could be done. Thanks for the replies.

Acutally I found it to be a bit up-shift happy at light throttle... under light throttle the car will be in 3rd gear by 16MPH!!! So for example I like to ease through intersections, and then once through the intersection I like to romp on it... With the stock shift points I would be in 3rd gear by the time I clear the intersection.. and then when I go WOT i have 2 downshifts... with the way I have the tranny set up now I can roll through an intersection, stay in a lower gear, keep the RPMs up so when i nail it i don't have to downshift...
