Default What... the hell?!

Alright, so I just got back from dropping something off to my girlfriend at her work. I'm coming home on highway 70 and the speed limit is 60. I'm doing 65 in the fast lane when 3 lanes over in the slow lane is a cop keeping up with me, just a bit behind. I think nothing of it and continue on my way home. All of a sudden he turns his spotlight on and it's aiming at the semi in front of him, then slowing turning to the semi in front of me, and then he aims it at me and leaves it there for about 5 seconds. I look to my right to see if he's trying to do anything, but no; he's just shooting the light at me. After he turns it off, he gets off at the next exit. I'm thinking to myself the whole time, "What the hell was that about?" Any of you have any idea what he was doing?

Funny you should say that I was on 70 last week near Mid Rivers Mall Drive and I saw a cop do that. What gives.

silly people. I have a few cops as friends and they do that to check if you are wearing your seatbelt. Also they do that sometimes to see if the car is overloaded with passengers....buddy cop of mine once pulled over a 5 seater car that had 5 adults and 6 kids..the 6 kids where all not wearing a seatbelt.....its a sad world we live in
They also do it here to see if you are talking on a cell phone, because here that is illegal while you drive.

Its hard to see most of this stuff when it starts to get dark so they bust out their flood light.

it would be even sadder if the a$$hole cop blinded someone with the spotlight an caused a fatal accident...
