Default First Dyno results in

My friend had his first open Dyno day at his shop.

40 bucks for three pulls with AF Wideband results.

As far as my Stang is concerned the only mod done is the 93 tune from Diablo,everything else is bone stock, even the paper air filter.

HP = 193
Torque = 263
This is on a Dynojet BTW

That was the first and best run.

The second run had a lower HP number, and far running far richer.

The third run was suposed to be with out the tune, but something went wrong with the pull and we got a spike on the graph that showed 495 ft/pd of torque, obviously a little SNAFU there.

auto, manual? That torque is crazy high, even after all my mods im at 240ish at the wheels. Wonder if their dyno was calibrated correctly.

You know, I thought that seemed kinda high, and after looking around at other posts I have to say that can't be accurate.

I was so focused on the HP number ( I was hoping to be over 190 ) that I didn't pay close enough attention.

I'm going to do some manual calculations on the torque numbers and see what they should look like.

I'll post the sheet later and see if any of you have any ideas.

Oh yeah, it's an Auto

With an auto and just a tune, hp# seems high as well, with an auto and tune you should be like 180 or so.

Are the numbers SAE or STD?

STD, how does it matter? This is my first time having one of my own cars on a dyno so I'm a little ignorant on the various nuances.

BTW, I was just over there and he said the dyno was calibrated and is on the money.

The tune was written by Diablo for the exhaust and WMS intake that I am going to run, even though I don't have that work done yet I am running that tune.

Well there is a Dynojet on my way to work, so I will call them Monday and setup an afternoon run, leave work a little early and compare the results.

STD numbers are almost always higher than SAE. SAE is whats used in order to make dyno graphs more equal to compare, since every place is in different climates.
