You can do with that tool or I pried up one side of the Christmas trees with flat head screwdriverand used thin sidecut pliers to get under there and pull them out. I think that there is about eleven of those things holding the insulation on. All said and done everything should be done in about an hour for the whole install.

I have a xenon hood scoop and had it on with tape...I didn't get good adhesion on one side and it came up on the highway....only one side though...and part of the front....you could see it trying to flip straight up like a wind sail, but the rest of the tape held....in my opinion, the tape works great....just for some reason, part of mine didn't stick well.......i took the scoop off to start over and with some goo gone and some elbow grease, all the tape residue came off and I got some new 3M tape from Autozone. Not really a big deal, just a pain in the ***...if it happens again, it is either getting pop rivited on, or I am getting a new hood with a built in scoop or the '67 shelby style hood.

No way this scoop stays on the hood with tape only. The "gluesurfaces" (hope i picked the right word) are much too small. The tape is ment for dampening purposes only i believe.
I drilled all the holes. Was no big deal with a good drill.
