Default Intresting point

I was watching a car show on tv last night. THey had the new camaro which is ugly IO. They should have kept the older look like are mustangs. ALso. I think it comes standard with a v8. what is intresting however is the simple fact that for so long fords and mustangs camaros and chevy have been at an odds. and for a while from what I have read in the 80s all threw the 90s up until now the camaros i believe have been winning as far as engine. What is intresting though is now what will ford do to? They cant make just mustangs in v8. that would lose their selling market by HALF. what would be VERY worth there whilethough is up the V6 which is currently the S197. NOW we will get possiblly a 300 HP V6 like most imports. ALSO. think about this. If camaro DOES make a V6 new camaro. What if they have a 250-300 HP Camaro? Ford would have to be kicking themselves for not making THIS v6 faster.

The Duratec35 that will go into the Mustang v6 in 2007 will have 250 chp.

You can bet everything on Chevy having the new Camaro in a v6 trim, it's the v6's sales that allow tyhe bigger engine versions of the Mustang, Camaro, Charger etc to be made.

Moron. Slowmaro's will never do what the ford mustang has done. GM won't have the sales #'s like the 2005 mustang did when it came out. Who gives a **** if or if not a V6 slowmaro is introduced? As far as most V6 imports have 300HP, where the f*ck did you see that? Did your mom drop you on your head?

The Duratec35 is a new 3.5L V6 engine that Ford is introducing in 2007. I read at this point, it is still speculatiation that it will make its way into the V6 stang in 07, but Jericho may have some new information.

And the Camaro, if it does come out (I will believe it when I see it), is supposed to have a V6 option that is around 250Hp as well.

Well...

1. There is no new engine in the 2007. The cars will be hitting the dealers in a few months. It has the same engine as the 05/06. In fact, I thought the speculation was that 2009 was the year we would see new engines in the V6 and V8... boosting the V6 to 250 and the V8 to 350 (or so)

2. Most of the foreign V6's do not do 300hp. They do 250, 270, 285, etc. But, they rev like hell to do this. And MOST IMPORTANTLY, they develop only the same or slightly more torque than the Mustang, and they do it at like 4800 to 5200 RPM, not down low like the Mustang (3500 RPM). Head snap and stoplight authority come from low rev torque. We have it.

3. The foreign cars are often fully tuned and tricked out, and require high octane gas to get their numbers. I have put a 93 tune on the Mustang, CAI and better muffler, and from what others have seen on a dyno, this combo would probably yield 240 hp at the flyweel, with 255 ft-lb of torque. This is getting a lot closer to the hp numbers of the jap cars, at much more usable RPM range.

4. If you want jap-scrap, freakin' buy it. If you need a GT because your organ is too small, buy that. Quit whining about V6 performance. Either mod yourself to 240hp w/ 255 torque or STFU.

In an attempt to educate you about your Mustang (if you have one), the "S197" designation has nothing to do with the V6 engine. S197 identifies a Mustang as a 2005+ model. Class dismissed...
