Default Good tuner?

I'm looking for a website to purchase a good tuner for a good price, couple questions reguarding them though.

1. What is a good price to pay?

2. Going off the specs of my car in my signature, what is the best brand/program?

3. Is there a better site for this product for cheaper?

4. Can I tune my car myself using this?

5. If I ask the Ford dealership to tune it, though I may not get the best performance out of it, would I still keep my warranty?

6. If I reset my battery after tuning it myself, would the cars computer get reset and be untraceable at a Ford dealership?

Default RE: Good tuner?

1. Usually, a tuner will run $350-$400.
2. SCT XCAL II is the best tuner for our car. The strategy device in the website comes with tunes developed foe a non-modded car, so if you were to add a CAI or other mods those tunes would have to be changed. The advantage of the xcal II is that you can get custom tunes written for your car based on the mods you have made.
3. I don't know if there is acheaper site, but you may want to check out bamachips, evolution, alternative auto to see what they have to offer.
4. Yes
5. No, they won't tune it for you.
6. Lots of posts on this one. Basically if you disconnect the battery you are good unless you have a real ambitious tech with nothing better to do but scan your cars computer looking for something. Remember, the only way the dealership can void your warranty is to show your mod led to the faulty piece of equipment.
