All you guys with the Roush louvers, how satisfied are you with the fit?

I read a thread on here where this guy was saying that his louvers and 4 or 5 sets on cars at his local Ford dealership were warped or bent in a way that didn't allow them to be flush with the body.

Do you know what he's talking about? Any of you have this problem?

I'm SERIOUSLY interested in getting the Roush hood scoop, rear spoiler and side louvers but that possible issue has me worried on the louvers.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have had them on for almost a year and no problems at all. Dally driver and ran all winter with them on. Very satisfied with the fit.

I just read in my last issue of Modified Mustangs, a how to install of the entire Roush body kit. The Roush tech who was doing the install said the secret was to bend the louvers before installing. He basically gave the front of the louver a little bend to follow the contour of the body line. Like I said if you can get your hands on last months issue you can see the step by step install.

Hey sonic,

Can you tell me what month and issue # that one is? Maybe what's on the cover - lead story? I want to go look for it. Thanks.

A secret? Sounds like poor fitting louvers to me.
Nothing in the instructions about this little bending
thing? Again, WTF? Sounds like Roush to me.

It's the July issue with a white fox on the cover and says "Giant Killer". Also a really smokin hot blond in the upper left hand corner. Page 54 on the bottom. Maybe it is a Roush thing, but I do love the way they look. I'll be getting a set myself. And I know I said bend at the front of the louver, but actually it's the back. It says to bend in a slight curling motion, nothing too much though. Just quoting the article. Hope it helped ya.
