I've got the bamachips ones, but I haven't gotten the CAI yet. I was just curious about the methods the two companies used. I've heard nothing but good things about both companies though.

TS-

How difficult was this for you to install? I did a CAI on a 2000 GTP, so I'm guess it'll be easier this time around, but just curious. And how tough was the tune? On the GTP, we just replaced the entire PCM, so this flash tool is completely new to me.

Thanks!

Air sensor is held in with a torx screw, right? You used a phillips on it?

LOL ty for the correction, I had to take the new C&L off one time and I used the philips screws on the OEM when reinstalled until my damaged XCAL2 came back. Good catch! It was nice of C&L to provide the torx bit even though I already had one. Use torx bit on the air sensor to remove it! LOL Do not use a philips!

Congratulations Sober, Welcome to the club. Even if you don't keep it, go for the 91 or 93 tune next. The car just runs like a champ with the higher octane fual. All the improvements just get better. You have the filter on right this time I hope.

I second the 93 octane tune. If you like the 87 tune, you'll love the 93. The car runs alot smoother too!

I also did some calculations on fuel mileage. Premium fuel costs $.20 more than regular....15 gallons to fillup = $3.00 extra to fill with premium fuel = about 1 gallon of regular. If you get 20-28 miles per tank extra you actually break even! Currently I'm getting about 35 miles extra per tank so it's cheaper to run the 93 fuel!

The 93 octane doesn't sound so bad now does it?

Hey Awesome Sober, I can just imagine the grin on your face. C&L came with a torx bit???? That sucks my TI didn't! Granted I had several anyways but that's beside the point. I wanted another one damn it!

+1 on the C&L/tunes from Lidio. I'm running the 89 Octane tune---and loving it!

Cool,

I've got the BamaChips XCAL2 and the MMR CAI and I use the 91/93 torque tune (it’s a neck snapper) and my T-Lock was needed ASAP so the next week I went to Ford and had it done by them. The local dealer is a friend and his Mustang guy is the best around these parts.

I am planning on ordering and switching to the C&L CAI next week after I get my Line Lock installed.
