I't could have been some excess fuel going into the hot cat which ignited. It was probly just a fluke and I wouldnt worry about it. Nice car

Yes, the 87 perf tune is noticable, the 91 is not any different than the 87 as far as I can tell but I am going to try the 91 torque today since I have a tank of 91, then I'll go back to the 87 perf and leave it there.

I have not heard anything like that before or after I did my 87 tune. Even though ours are from different people I don't think the tune would cause that. You could pull your O2 sensors and check though. If one is more scorched than the rest at least you know with reasonable certainty what happened. If it happens again you could call Doug and tell him what happened.
