How are you guys getting 30+ mpg? My last trip I only got 24mpg, I kept my speed mostly 77mph and for about 40 miles I went 100+ on them long bridges coming our of New Orleans.
BTW I got 311 miles on 12.9 gallons

off topic but. when i took off my flowmasters and replaced them with gt take offs i weiged them and they were twice as heavy as the flowmasters.

I have the 2006 V6 Automatic Pony Package. In Phoenix in July the avg. temperture is around 85 to 115 degrees. I only drive on surface streets my avg MPH between fillups is 30-33. My gas mileage is 19-22 MPG. 3 or 4 fast take-offs in a tankfull.

I drive 60 miles one way to the office -- once on the highway it is somewhere between 75 and 85 MPH, depending upon the level of state trooper patrols! (at 60 MPH on a Detroit highway you'd get run over!)

I have a bone stock Pony automatic. I average 24 mpg with it, and know I drive it much harder than my Explorer. Most of my driving is on the highway (a 60 mile each way trip to work and home each day). Even when I do a lot of in town driving on the weekends, I usually average around 21

I use the readout on the dash for average mph and average mpg, I have the IUP. Based upon my manual calculations a couple of times, mine seems to be fairly accurate.
