Hi,

I'm wondering if the two cars use exactly the same wheel for 17" or is there a difference. I'm talking about the aluminum one with the painted center.

Also I'm wondering if it's a bad idea to put a takeoff wheel+tire with ~10 miles on it on the front of the car in place of a wheel+tire with ~1500 miles. To clarify, the tire will be the same exact brand and model.

The pony package wheels are the same as the 17 inch GT take offs.

The only difference is that the pony package wheels have tri-bar pony center caps, while the GT wheels just have the plain Ford oval caps.

Thanks a lot for the replies guys you don't know how much I appreciate it. i've been having a hard time finding someone who can answer. This forum is the best. Now all I gotta do is figure out if I should buy the wheel+tire or if I should buy a wheel and put my tire on it. I figure it'd be easier to buy the wheel+tire but not sure if I'd need a front end alignment or anything if I did that. Probably not I would guess. I'm really picky about this car, although it's my commuter car.

a new tire? Yeah I can afford it premounted, I mean..the takeoff stuff doesn't cost gobs of money. Just hopefully the thing wouldn't get dinged in shipping.
