I bought a used one off of Ebay. It has the same ECU code as mine. The seller had loaded the stock tune back onto it. When I tried to use it, it said it was locked to another car. I called SCT, and they said once a unit is linked to a car, it has to be reinitialized before it can be used by any other car. Dunno. That's what SCT told me.

if it says its linked to another car, that means he didnt return it to stock. And its the EEC (or ECC forget the acronym) code. If i had to guess, ya, he just didnt return it to stock, or had no idea what the comp code was and just sold it saying it was the same as yours. Ive already seen 1 tuner in action on 2 cars in person at the track.

I believe with the SCT xcal-II you can switch up to 5 times.
