Default Short Throw Shifter Question

I have been looking around for a short throw shifter, and I am a little confused by the options.

Are the V6 and GT shifters different?

I have found some that specifically say that they are for the V6
I have found some that specifically say that they are for the GT
But I have seen others that just say 05/06 Mustang

Those of you who have installed them....which one did you get? (Where? How much? etc?)

Thanks!

I got the Hurst and it is V6 specific. I don't remember where I got it but it was about $185.00 plus I bought a Tee handle for $30.00.

Ideally, what I would like to have would be a short throw shifter - with the factory **** and boot...

The Hurst stuff is nice, but it's not really the look I'm going for, you know?

you find that you let me know.... i just got a hurst for 178.88 free shipping...and i love it to death. it was a V6 specific model aswell. To my knowlede they dont make a shifter that leaves the "stock look" and let u have a short throw. I think most people would rather have a new look....plus the stock shifter kinda sucks man..its 4" tall and looks bla..btw the standard hurst comes with just a white ball and not a t-handle so its not as "out there" sorry im rambling just a few thoughts

I don't think I have seen it mentioned before, but will the Saleen short throw adapter work on a V6?? I'm trying to find a pic of the bottom of the stock shifter....If it would work, it would certainly maintain the factory **** and boot.....

Anyone know??
