Hey, I live in New Jersey, and I have been to the strip many times as a looker, but never as a driver. This week im planning a trip with my girlfriend to Raceway Park to do a few quarter mile runs. Im trying to find out what i need to bring with me. I was checking their website, and it doesnt post any rules about wearing helmets. It just says that all helmets must be SNELL 95 OR BETTER. Anyone know if I need a helmet or if I will be able to rent two when i get there? G/F wants to come for the ride of course. lol.

Any help / suggestions of anything to bring with me would be great. Or even tips for a first-timer.

Oh, and my car is bone stock.

i think you need a helmet with an 12.9 sec car or faster. at least thats what it is here at my local track i think.

You will need a helmet. You can rent one from Raceway for $4. Wednesday's are best day to go there because it is test and tune and you can probably run 3 or 4 runs that day. If you have any power adder ( Nitrous, Turbo, or SuperCharger ) that is installed aftermarket you will also need a Fire Jacket - they DO NOT rent those and you will need one to race. ALSO - must wear long pants and closed toe shoes ( no shorts and flip flop's )

thanks, knew the part about the pants and shoes, as well as no tank-tops. Good to know i can rent the helmet. Wed. was the day im planning to go if all works out, hopefuly wont rain. Thanks again.
