Default how much abuse can our cars take

now I am not talking about burning out at every single intersection...but can our cars handle a burnout once in a while? will it cause long term damage? I know our cars are muscle cars and not..say a Kia where I would worry about breaking it...but I was just curious if I should avoid burning out at all? I realize its not that great for the tires but I am talking about stress on say the drive train, transmission, gears etc...

Burnout causes premature wear on your clutch, brakes, tires, engine, that's all I can think of at thie moment. Will one burnout send your pistons through your hood, I hope not if your watching your tach.
