You seem like a cool, realistic person, and i'm not downing your car, we're all Mustangs, but i really don't think it matterswhat new edge v6 trim or tranny goes up against an s197 v6, auto or manual it should be a win for the s197. Low 16 in auto, mid-high 15 in 5sp vs low 15 in auto, high 14-low 15 in manual, not really a contest. The best i ever saw a 5sp new edge v6 run in 5sp with quite a few n/a bolt-ons was a 15.2, auto high high 15's.

i guess the denile is kicking in,lol. it sucks i wanna get a new mustang, but with a baby on the way it looks like i am gonna be getting a 4dr, probably getting a fusion, but a new mustang is on the way.....eventually. going to be turning this car into a project, atleast until i finish my degree and get a good career going. So i am gonna have about 3years with this car, and then maybe. I know its kindof off topic, but has anyone seen that they are supposed to make a turbo AWD fusion??

i havent hear about the turbo, but i have seen many fusions with a little badge on the trunk that says AWD, and if they are AWD and you throw a turbo on that....you got yourself a WRX

There are quite a few nice, affordable 4-dr family type cars nowerdays, my personal favorite is the Altima SE-R.

Sounds like you got your priorities straight, a baby and school is waaaay more important then a car.

i do like the altima's, but it looks like i can get a almost fully loaded 05 fusion for like under 23,000. I think i can also get a good rebate if i stick with ford credit again. Who knows??

I actually came close to buying a Fusion when I bought my Mustang. I went into the dealer just trying to find a car that would allow me to get out of a car I was way upside down in. The Fusion was a really nice car and was a little less than the Mustang but both had the same discounts. I'm single but was looking at the Fusion in order to look more professional but the devil on my shoulder won out and I went with the Stang. If I need to look professional I'll buy a new suit.lol
