Agreed. Hide the car somewhere safe and use a limo service. The price to keep the car long-term at the airport will come out to more than the limo to and from the airport. It's also worth the piece of mind.

It sucks I have to be scared as hell to park my car anywhere. I got egged 4 days into ownership, which left some nasty paint damage near my door and I haven't had a chance to get it fixed. It happened right outside my house too which really bugs me. I even have a V6 Mustang, which is what any Hertz has for freakin' rental cars. Some kid has to vent cuz I own a damn rental car? C'mon, at least go for the Porsche down the street or something.. Wasting your time vandalizing an overweight V6 rental car is pretty weak.

 

So my 05 has been on the road for 8 months, I'm careful as hell when I park it, no dings or scratches and then some idiot drives the right side along a granite curb coming out of the convenience store. Oh no, that idiot was me!!! Sounded like I tore half the car off, but only scraped the paint under the plastic strip and creased the plastic strip on the bottom. you can't see it unless you get down and look under the car.

 

Have had my 06' since february. I have a 2 car garage but whenever I take it somewhere or stay overnight at my girlfriends house I'm worried sick about getting keyed or worse. Then I get the idiot cement and gravel trucks sandblasting me on the highway. I would'nt even want to own a Ferrari or some fine Bently thats 150K or more. I'd have to hire a bodyguard and drive with a car cover on with slits on the windows to look out out. Sometimes I wonder if owning something really nice that catches the eyes like our Stangs are worth the stress. I have an old Ford truck beater I drive most of the time for sanity.
