Dyno Baseline on the '05 Redfire
I had the day off today so after dropping the Spouse at work, took the Spouse's Mustang to Dallas Mustang to get a performance baseline on their DynoJet dyno. Archie King, who runs the dyno for Dallas Mustang, positioned the vehicle on the dyno then reprogrammed the Mustangs computer so that the transmission would sort shift into high gear, then stay there. This avoids a downshift when accelerating during the dyno session. The first run hit the rev limiter and terminated at 112 MPH. Archie then reprogrammed to remove the rev limiter and made the second run which terminated at 141 MPH and netted 180.65 HP and 211.53 ft/lbs of torque. Temperature for the second run was 77.9 degrees with 16% humidity.
This run was in pure stock configuration, mechanically, with 87 octane fuel and a 15 to 20 minute cool down before the first run and about 10 minutes between the first and second run. I videoed the dyno session and will post it as soon as I can get it formatted and uploaded.
Mods: GT Grille, 17-inch Bullitt wheels and Pirelli tires. No engine mods, yet.

@omer333 Yes it's an automatic.
@badtzmaru That's the plan. [sm=smiley20.gif]
@petepete I ran mine up to this speed on the road a couple of times before I learned of the drive shaft problem which was probably not a good idea. Dyno runs are so short it probably isn't a problem, but just to be safe the mod plan does call for replacing the drive shaft as one of the early mods.

Thanks for posting your dyno numbers! Did your wife know beforehand that you were putting her car up on the dyno??? I love the sound of our V6's revving up on a dyno - sweet music!
If you would, please repost your numbers & dynograph in the 4.0L sticky for Track Times & Dyno Numbers.

good numbers for stock. i got a '05 Redfire, but mine is a manual. i never was able to get my baseline numbers down, so i guess i got a pretty good idea of where i started out at. i'll post my numbers when i come back from iraq, and i got a few mods. but i was thinking about buying the stage 3 heads from SSM and thier Cam set too. and seeing what kind of gains i can get from that.
