here in phoenix, most stock gt's i see are running 14.0 or so with a good driver, and plenty in the 14.5-15.0 area. i ieven did a heads up race against my tuner (has an 05 gt auto with exhaust cutouts and a tune) and beat him. modded gt's here are pulling mid 13s, to about 14.0. and the f/i'ed gts here are running between 12.4 and 13.0

I was just messin around with density altitude correctiono factors this morning, and my 14.50 run is about a 14.01 with a DA of 400 (what most places see on a cold night).

I agree with fazm .......that is what i see at my track also on 05 GTs . Denny i dynoed 201 hp and 216 tq with cai, exhaust and an 89 tune...those numbers were good for a 14.63 at 92. You are on the right track ...just keep at it. Good Luck.

You can beat 04's and down, they run low to mid 14's, as fazm has done with bolt-ons. Thats if those gt's are stock and dont have such a good driver. It does take some work though and you have to be a fairly decent driver aswell.

i ran a 13.498 in the 1/4 bone stock to the stock airbox/filter and tires. not even synthetic oil or premium gas was used.

i guess i'm the exception, huh? about 750ft elevation, too...

in CHICAGO at least, doodad and i are putting down 13.4's bone stock. you must have the ****tiest GT drivers EVER in your area.

You can get where you want, it just takes money. I just installed the powerhouse driveshaft and wow, what a difference. My local track closed so I can't get back to see how much of a difference, but it 'feels' like more of an improvement than any other mod aside from the right tune. I am running 14.32 without the new driveshaft or upper link. I don't have a problem with anything but cobras (no contest) and better driven GT's

just for a comparison, chicago's DA 2 weeks ago at track time (lookin up the weather report) was about 1430DA, while here in phoenix it was 3600DA.

Well, 99MPH is a 13.6 or 13.7 run. I ran 13.6@99MPH on street tires when I was on 100 shot of nitrous.

DA is short for density altitude.

its a a # reached by factoring in altitude, temp, humidity, and barometric pressure.

its the only true equalizing thing, since altitude is only one factor. Temp makes a huge difference as well, it and altitude are probably the biggest factors of what ET you will achieve.
