hey, Im trying to decide what tires are best for winter. I got the 17's stock and the cheepest tire are goodyear is $120!!!!!! the tire rack has 16" steel wheels,$100 bridgestones and shipping for $20 more than just the 17" tires. what are your opinions?

Winter tires would be a better way to go but since you would have to go to the trouble of getting them mounted and balanced and then when spring comes around again mount and balance i would say just drive real careful with the stock tires. As long as you accelerate slow and make nice turns you should be alright.

Hi powerprodigy, this will be my first winter with my stang also. I got the steel wheels and blizzak revo 1 from tire rack. $592. for the tires and wheels and $78. for shiping.

dude just buy a beater for 500 and dont risk some jerkoff in a beater hitting the stang. and besides the salt gona kill it.

Salt is a bad factor this is true. But unless you keep this car in optimal condition a couple winter wont hurt it. But ya if you could just buy a cheap car for winter use.

I live in Vancouver BC, and our winters are very mild. We get a lot of rain, and on occasion the rain will turn to snow. They really salt the roads though, anytime the temp goes below 32. Should I be washing the car off more often during these times? I've heard it's not good to wash the car below 32 because water gets into the various tiny openings and crevases (crevaces?) which freezes and expands. Should I be trying to rinse underneath the car regularely?
