Default MRT installed!

Ok, I got my MRT put on about half hour after it was delvered to my door.
I was amazed how lite the thing was.......a whole lot lighter than my stock muffler and Gt take off muffler.
Installation was easier than when I installed the GT take off......there was a whole more room to work with around the bolts.
At first when I had it installed It seemed not quite aligned.......and I readjusted it twice.....and it still looked the same........
then I stepped back .......it was perfect............aligned and everything....must be cockeyed.....lol jk.
The started up my car and the things was rumbling pretty loud and deep at idle. I was like whoa!
I reveed it a few times and was still amazed. Right after I jumped in and went for a little ride. The MRT is loud........and I know what drone is now although I feel its not that bad. Im not too satisfied with the sound at higher RPM's but im sure it will get better.
As far as power (hp) .....There is more power with the MRT than the GT take off that I replaced it with.
Overall I am really satisfied with the MRT.

One question........how did all you Aero Turbine owners out there fix the rattle........it rattles when i go over bumps......and cracks....kinda sucks. thanks guys!

glad you finally got it!. freaked me out, the tracking # wasnt workin after it last said "out for delivery"

as for the rattlin over bumps, i just learned to go over bumps slower, it has something to do with the 2 hangers instead of 3, im sure of it.

also as far as the noise uptop, the jba headers helped, but the drone got worse at low rpm (right around 2500rpm)

i just let it be lol, doesn't really bother me. The sound in the higher RPMs does get better as it breaks in. My muffler never rattles on bumps....[&:]

After your exhaust breaks in the drone kind of mellows out. But if you like you music loud like I do then the music will drown it out. You won't even notice it.

Having been an ex MRT owner I feel like I should comment on the drone. I'm 19 and the drone got to me enough after a while to replace it with another muffler. It wasn't even that it got annoying after prolonged trips my ears would just fatigue, I felt like I just left a concert after every longer drive.

As for doing something about it, I've heard run of the mill resonators do very little with this muffler but MRT is working on a resonator of their own so time will tell.

There was a very nice power increase but the drone was just unbearable after a while for me, especially since I put a nicer system in my car and couldn't even enjoy it after I put on the MRT.

I had the KNOCK on the bump noise... Scott loosened up my mid-pipe and rotated it a bit... this give the pipe that goes over the axle more clearance... fixed he problem... also gave the tip more clearance from the bumper...
