Default How rough is to rough?

This is for the daily drivers out there.

How rough is too rough? I mean, how much can these drivetrains take, I am talking pretty moderate-hard acceleration on a daily basis.
I am refering specifically to the V6 of course. From what I have read the 05'+ drivetrains are pretty durable.

With proper maintenece (perhaps shorter intervals) can these things take a beating all the way to 100k?

I guess my first question is why?

Why would anyone want to do hole shots at every stop light? or beat the **** out of theircar everyday especially their "daily" driver? The questions you are asking do not make much sense.

Your question "With proper maintenece (perhaps shorter intervals) can these things take a beating all the way to 100k?" is not a black and white response. Your car could brake down a 1000 miles or 50000 miles.

No different if you beat your body with partying "alcohol and Drugs". You do it every day, it will shortin your life span and cause you issues at any giving time throughout your life.

I have no idea. But 98% of my driving is between 800 and 3000 rpm, with 90% of that being at about 2000 rpm. At 2000 rpm the car seems to rely on the engine's torque to pull you foward. It rarely downships unless you go WOT. Some people hate that and get a custom tune. But for engine life it's a pretty good design to hang in 5th gear and let torque pull you along at low rpms. If I don't get at least 200k out of my car with easy driving my stang will be the last American car I buy. But I'm pretty confident our cars will last a long time.

my maintained 2001 explorer sport with a the 4.0 SOHC engine is at 210k miles right now, and only replaced a radiator to date.

my 05 mustang has 40k miles on it (at least thats what the odometer says, im closer to 47k by now) and its been great lol

clutch is gone, rebuilt the transmission once (4th gear synchro). but remember ive made over 200 passes down the quarter mile, many of them with 1.9 and 2.0 60' times (some gt's arent even pulling that) and one 1.898 60' time.

I do not go easy on my car, because if something breaks, u replace it with something stronger. My richmond differential blew up, so i put in a truetrac, etc.

I've got at least 70 passes on my car at the strip and 40k miles. No breakage, no issues. But I change the oil like I should and always make sure everything is secure, clean and full. If you take care of it, it will last. I don't street race and I don't beat on my car on the street. ( well, maybe once or twice )
