Yesterday eveniing I was going to take the Stang for a drive. Upon arriving at the driver's side door, I notice the driver's sidedoor is slightly ajar. Oh, Oh. Probably been like that for 2 or 3 days. As you probably guessed, the battery is completely dead. A jump start was attempted to no avail. I also noticed at this timethat to actually close the door extra effort is needed.(a semi-hard push) Certainly not what I am used to in closing the door.I attach a portable battery charger and leave it on overnight. The next morning the car starts right up. And now with a charged battery, the driver side door again closes with minimum effort. How can that be explained?

The windows drop about 1 in. when opened and raise backup when closed. It seems your windows didnt drop when ajar. They close much harder when not lowered that 1 inch.

Make that " The windows drop about 1 in.when THE DOOD IS opened and raise back up when closed". Also watch them in ice and snow if they freeze in the up position.Makes a noise like the window is going to break.
