Default livewire?

getting the livewire seems soo tempting but im not sure yet. i havent read anywhere about any expierence with it. just only wuts on thesct site.im sure you all know about it too and are wondering the same questions as i am? if anyone knows anything about it post it here. i know it comes with 3 canned tunes and it does all this gnarly stuff. does anyone know if it is required to run with a cai? im hoping it does since thatll add more power. but anyone with any info about this product please post it here. im sure theres more people wondering about it. thanks

Default RE: livewire?

I got my tuner right before it came out, orI might have saved the extra chash for the live wire. But,IMO I do not think it is worth the extra money. It does the exact same thing to the car as the x-cal II. All of the other stuff it does that the x-cal can't are sora useless and just a cool feature. If it's similar to a G-Tech the readings it puts out aren't really always that accurate. I don't think I would like to leave that thing showing all the time either. I do admit it is a cool idea, but if I wanna know numbers, ill go to the track or dyno and stick with a set of good quality gauges. Now a system that does that all in one does sounds very attractive, but they just arent that good yet.

To answer your question about it requiring an intake...if it is like any other tuner, then no you do not need an intake, but the intake will make better gaines. I wouldn't buy the product untill places like B A M A or Brenspeed start using and tuning them.
