RE: New 07 Navigation Unit
bebop, let us know how it works... Maybe I only need to reinstall the shaker 500, let the tech get the build data from the oem radio, then install the nav radio and upload the build data. We didn't try it that way, and the opitional instructions from the ford tech manual says to recall the build data by vin. This gives them the type vehicle, year, model, date manuf, and equip installed. I'll have to check with the ford tech, but if your nav radio turns on with out an error msg, then your good to go. Check out what I posted about the gps antenna location, install in first, you'll see where you can reach up under the bottom of the top of the dash. Good luck, and let us know how it works.

RE: New 07 Navigation Unit
Here is a link to the instructions I posted on the mustang source http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showth...230&page=5. It is the last post. So far I haven't had any problems except for it freaking out ( nav system error) because it boesn't have any detailed information about my local streets, but once I get on the main Hwys it is fine. The surface streets show up on the map, but it just doesn't know anything about them. Hopefuly this will be corrected in the next DVD release (probably not. Thats what I get for Living in the boonies). The GPS picks up fine and tracks the car fairly accurately. I know you can paly MP3s in the palyer. They say it plays them better than the shakers, I haven't tested it yet. You can also connect the Sirrus system to it, it is a separate kit. It will work with the AUX port on the 07s. Kevin is looking in to the wiring requirements for this. It may not be possible to add this to the 05-06 with out a lot of work, we'll see. I also found a company that make an interface that will let you play DVD (Requires a separate DVD player)and has a provision for a backup Camera that will work on the Nav unit the link is in the above post. If anything comesup I will let you know. As far as the price Kevin doesn't like us posting prices on the boards, just send him an e-mail Clevparts@aol.com or give him a call 1-800-570-5554 ask for Kevin Casey.
