I hope you guys are right! I do agree that they were put on rentals because that's what mine was.
Anyway, He has a good home now!

I have them on my carfrom the dealerit is a 2005 and I was wondering if anyone has taken them off 1 1/2 years later? if I take them off at this point will it show on the paint? and also will it pull off the clearcoat? I want to take them off but I worry if I damage the paint, please let me know your thoughts
its funny because I had 2 GT owners tell me that they like the line!

Painted, I just took them off, the paint is fine. It was really easy cause it is pretty warm outside today so the glue was warm. They actually came right off! The car looks so much better now! It just looks smoother. Now, I have some adhesive residue on the paint still, what can I do to remove this adhesive? The car looks so much more sporty now! I love it!

GT owners are a little weird. they need that extra 2 cylinders to be men

Without them the car looks "skinny" in the middle section. IMO.

There was actually a post on this before and there was a guy with the strip only on the driver side and not the passenger. He drove it for months before he noticed it. hehe

Definitely ugly! I was relived to take them off a couple months ago! I'll post pics soon since I have the same color car as you! Only needed a blow dryer for the ends and they peeled right off on a warm day. Washed the car afterwards and no sign that they were ever even there

Just got back from Hawaii. Had a Mustang convertible rental car. It had the door strips and so did all other Mustang rentals I saw.
