RE: question for those w/ b a m a tunes.
My dad is the same way nonstopred... he got me a cai... but won't let me get a tuner I keep telling him theyare fine, but he doesn't trust them, or anything else I find on the internet. He says he'll just get me a 'chip' and I keep telling him my car isn't like his hummer... you can't 'chip' it. I think I'll buy one this summer without him knowing [:-]

Myfather doesn't really know anything so when I have the money I go get it.
nonstopred--Try to convince you dad by telling him about all of the positive and cost effective aspects a tune has to offer. (better mileage, ability to read engine check codes when some dealers charge a 100bux, adjustability for future mods like gears, ect...you know them all.)
A tuner is just another very useful tool in my book, and will pay for it self with time.

RE: question for those w/ b a m a tunes.
my parents were a lil iffy on me getting a CAI and tune afraid it would effect warranty and it would be a waste of money. i told them it would be better for the car and explained mileage and so forth. my parents don't mind me getting it now but are still afraid of the warranty issue. they're just making me pay for the 600 buck CAI and tune.
btw that thing is massive!
