Gas mileage!
so i was reading my mustang owners guide that came with my car, and it tells you when to shift to get the best fuel economy.
i'll copy it down for those who care and don't have it
1-2= 11 MPH
2-3= 19 MPH
3-4= 30 MPH
4-5= 40 MPH
i dont know about you guys, but this is generally how i shift
1-2= 20 MPH
2-3= 40 MPH
3-4= 60 MPH
4-5= 80 MPH
i get about 20 miles on the gallon using that...what i was wondering what other people do.

Good God! You could barely get your foot off the clutch before you have to put it to the floor again.
The lowest I shift into 5th is about 50 mph or so. I agree with SDS guy, that is incredibly early. They must be using about 1/10 accelerator. LOL

I average 24 mpg for both city and hwy.
I do shift a lot earlier than what you do. I read somewhere on this forum that the key for getting good gas mileage is to keep the RPMs below 2000. You shift like you are constantly trying to race someone......no wonder your gas mileage is so poor.
