Just got my MRT exhaust today. I am attempting to take the stock exhaust out as we speak. One question though. Do you have to take out the part that is actually holding the hangars up,like when you take the bolts off do you just slide that black piece off?

Yeah that sounds about right. Unbolt the hangers, and put the two that will be reused on the MRT then bolt it back on.

Seriously, how do you get the bolt directly above the muffler? And I can't get the clamp to move at all, I did get it loose, it just won't move. Been trying to pry around it, but it's on there good.

a socket wrench and some bloody knuckels hahaha, its something you are going to have to feel to get off.. cause you wont be able to see the bolt and unscrew it at the same time.

HahaI know whyy....The stock clamp is welded to the muffler pipe.....just pry the muffler off the mid pipe...The whole piece comes off as one. As for reaching the other bolts... after getting the muffler loose, try and move it so you can reach the hanger bolts...If not, you need a better tool to use.

Well, I finally got it. Only took about 4 hrs. Probably 2 hours alone on the one bolt above the muffler. I couldn't move the muffer much at all until that one was loose. Probably 20 minutes to put the MRT back on, there's so much more room to work with. The tip is a bit high, but I was tired of dealing with it tonight. What's the best way to adjust it to make it lower at the tip?

To make the tip lower some people say to just put something into the muffler tip and pull down on it, but I dont like that idea.

One option is to take the muffler off again and bend the hangers so it hangs lower, but I doubt you want to do this again.

The last option is to rotate the mid pipe by loosening the muffler clamp bold and the 2 bolts after the y-pipe. If your looking at the front of the car from under it, you want to rotate the pipe clockwise. I found this easy to do if you loosen everything up, then wedge a piece of wood about the thickness of a 2x4 betweenwhere the mid pipe goes over that black bar by the rear axle. This will hold the pipe upso you can rotate it (probably less then an inch of rotation going on there.) This process also solves the problem some have with the mid pipe hitting that black bar whengoing overbumps.(makes a stupid rattle noise) After you get the rotation business done, tighten everything back up whith the wood still in place. When you think everything is as tight as can be, hit the piece of wood out. The muffler should be lower now.

How did you guys take thehanger that is closest to the clamp off. I got one of the bolts off but the other one is so uncomfortable or seems hard to get too.

Sounds pretty good. Quite a bit of vibration on the inside of the car though. And during my first drive with it on my back right speaker started popping and having lots of static like it's blown, and it hasn't stopped. Radio wasn't on very loud or anything either. I can see what some people might have a problem with as far as a drone, if you stay at the certain RPMs for awhile I can see it being annoying. Hopefully it won't be bad on my 2800 mile trip coming up next month.
