Oh my bad, I thought rwhp was power to the ground. It's just power to the rear wheels? Man I gotta read up, I thought I knew all these basics already

well when i say power to the ground i mean how much of that power you are actually using...like traction. If you just throw 370rwhp at the ground without a locker/lsd and lots of suspension goodies you are just gonna spin the tires all the way through third gear. You need to work on getting the tires more planted and stable, so you can actually use all the power you have. rwhp is how much power is getting to the ground, but if you don't get enough traction, your car isn't really going to be that much faster, it will just be a ****load more powerful and way more dangerous. Get what im saying?

Ah I see what you meant. Yeah that's definitely important. LSDs really lock things down. Mine's already lowered, not sure if that helps with traction or anything haha. I need dampers and all before I blow a strut. I'll have to look into control arms and sway bars and all.

Thanks for all the help! I'll post pics and all once I get on this.

I still can't decide between a s/c and a t/c. I understand that turbos seem to make more power, but you need to do other work to get most of it. I just didn't realize there was such a difference in s/cing and t/cing with the 4.0l. And then I'm assuming a custom tt just blows both out of the water. Many sites selling the kits reference either hp or rwhp, not both, so it's kind of confusing.

And then as I understand it, certain kits require you keep/have either short or long tube headers, and a certain style of exhaust (axle or cat-back).

Edit: So far it seems that vortech and the procharger run about the same numbers. However the turbo seems to be able to easy reach 400hp with a race gas tune. Can anyone verify/clear this up for me? Thanks
