Default How do Gears work?

Simple Question,

Can someone explan how gears work because I contantly see people talking about swaping them out for new ones....and im just confused.

Hi, The easiest way to understand gears is thinking of a bicycle with gears. If you shift up it's easier to peddle but you don't go as fast, if you shift down it's harder to peddle but you get more speed.
With 3.73 or 4.10 gears your just applying the same power to the wheels more efficently and quicker with the larger gears (our cars come with 3.31's) the top end speed you give up is not that noticable cause with the larger gears you can still get up as fast as you really need.
The trac loc is just to deliver the power to both wheels insead of one as Ford makes our cars.
It is by far the best mod you can do for the money. I love my 3.73 gears and Ford racing T-loc

how much would modding a 2002 V6 with a T-loc and a 4.1 gears cost.....where could i find the mods?...thanks

I paid 995 for my t-loc and 3.73 gears in San Diego your state may be a bit cheaper but I would make sure a good gear place does the job.
