OK this may be cheesy and I can take it if it is but I agree that the duals look awesome /!!!!
And if there is the chance that te reduce tourqe why not just bot on the left muffler and cut the bumper (of install a GT one) for the look while still maintaining the back pressure that our motors need. Sounds logical maybe too logical and cheesy. Let me have it guys!!!LOL
Yes, cutting the bumper and installing a non functional muffler is cheesey.
Relax.....many V6 owners have done it and are happy with the results. I think if you get a reputable muffler shop to do the install, they will stand by their work.
Thanks for not going hard on me LOL. I think it would drive me nuts that I had a non fuctioning muffler on there even if no one else could see it.
I was going to do it myself if I did it.
As you can see, we V6 owners tend not to bash folks on this forum, unless they talk down and dirty about our cars.

Are you going to get duals? I'm still waiting for my pipes to come in. Because there are so many V6 owners doing the conversion, it has created a back order on some parts, but I am a patient person most of the time.

Yea, I'm not taking a chances when I get my done. I want duals, like the look, so I'm going to do the Y-back. Basically, you just but another Y to the one that is already there and you've got duals. Some people are saying this is an X but I don't think so.
No it's not a true X where it does not narrow down breifly to one pipe but I think it almost acts as one because of the very short section in between the 2 Y's and I'm thinking that maybe it could help a little with backpressure that we need if we really do need it. I guess the only way to find out about the low end torque which no one seems to know for sure is to install it and drive it .

Igot duals with an x pipe. Seems fine to me give my car more go power then before. I can only see benefits out of this mod.

It seems like I read on the VMP website that the duals give 1 more HP over a good breathing single exhaust. I will try to find the link. Overall though They look alot better.. IMO

yeh definately looks and sound is the benefit from duals. I doubt theyre gonna lose you power, and they'll be at or barely better than the single axleback.

My pony's engine isbone stock.

I have a T-LOK axle with stock gears.

I added Pypes true duals with Street Pros.

Check out the video "SOHCman Pypes Acceleration" from the link below (at work so I can't open the link myself).

The video was shot while I was going uphill, so my pony had to work a little harder too.

I don't think I lost any power at all, do you?

Do the full duals, not the "Y" pipe thing, in case you want to add some more HP adders later on.

Enjoy
