I have a single 40 series flowmaster right now but in the very near future im going to be putting another one on...My question is has anyone gone with duals and no cats?

I'm sure that some folks have done that. I would caution against it for the simple reason that getting the car through DMV inspection will be difficult, if not impossible. I would also be reluctant to ever buy a car without cats, so that would diminish its value should you want/need to sell it. Of course you could always reinstall them, but that's an add'l expense...

It seems the 4.0's don't sound as good as the older pushrod 3.8's catless. I would say keep them in.

+2 on keeping them. Trying to get the car to sound good cost's too much money ofter you take them off.

I read somewhere that Ford will give you hassels about your warranty if you take your cats off, not sure if that's true, but wouldn't take the chance...
