Default Dual Flow AT Problems

Alright I searched the boards for the problem, couldnt find anything, but I KNOW it has been discussed before. I have a slight rattle coming out of my left muffler from time to time, at first I thought it may have been a piece of metal, or rock, or something, but it still has not gone away. Some people said Flowmaster had problems with some mufflers, but, before I get all into that, does anybody have any advice on what I can do to see if in fact there is something in there? Because its tough to get a magnet in there since the chamber is blocked off a bit.

Same thing happened to me. So I just tightened the bracket, but periodically it continued to loosen. If you don't feel like forking out the money for a weld, take the route I did: Get a small piece of sheet metal, and wrap it around the connection b/t the muffler and pipe. Then clamp it down on each side the joint. (You'll have to pick up an additional clamp) And there you have the poor man's weld. Hope this helps.

i had the same problem with my flowmaster installed on my V6. The exhaust rattled
only when going up hill or punching it. i had the muffler shop exchange it out with a new one.
The problem went away.Muffler shoop stated sometimes they also get faulty defective mufflers.
the one i had a loose chamber which made it rattle when the car angle changed. hope this helps you out.
