I still have my '66 coupe. That car gets WAY more attention than when I drive either of our S197's. Classic Mustangs are easy to work on, and have a great aftermarket for sourcing restoration parts. I suggest that you check out the Classic Sectionto ask for their perspective.

i dont really care for the coupes, but the fastbacks are sick. so freaking awesome. i almost got a 69 grande to restore, but thought better of it and now im waiting to find a good fastback.

Always liked the 67 & 68s better than the 64.5 to 66s. Fastbacks are cool but coupes lookgood too.Look at some of the early Trans-Am cars, there were some coupes. Mucho restoration parts available.
