A TIP TO ALL.....don't leave money, checks, social security cards in your cars unattended. heck, try no to carry your social security card around with you at all. thats just not smart unless you needed it that day. anything valuable in your car is big trouble. doesn't keep people out of cars but at least the damage could be minimized. jerks choose nice cars to break into because they always find valuable goodies stored in there. just because we got nice new rides doesn't mean they are any more secure than an old beat up pinto. anyways, at least you're safe and weren't alone.

VictoriaRR, I'm glad you are OK! It was nice that your co-worker and her boyfriend waited around for you. Sounds like that guy in the Suburban was up to no good. Perhaps he was sitting there shining the light on your car so the burglars could see what they were doing?
Do look into purchasing a taser and never walk to your car alone at night.

Don't worry about your Stang....it could have been much worse.

Thanks, everyone.

Wolfey2k... I DO have the anti-theft alarm system in my car. The theives were able to get the door open without setting it off. Even when I got to the car the alarm light was still blinking, indicating that it was STILL armed. Obviously not. The alarm still works fine, though. I just don't know why it didn't go off, or how they were able to disarm it. I know that had it gone off I would most definitely have heard it.
