Now I see why some guys are getting 14MPG. You can still get your speed up quickly w/o flooring it and having high rpm shifts. There is no WOT quota for daily use, less you do it the better.

if your are concerned about it really lasting just keep up ons ervices and oil changes because thats all that matters. you can do WOT as often as you like as long as your not a stick and the entire time just chilling a 5+ soo have fun with it. because i hit WOT 4-5 times a day, its good for the car itll appreciate the love.
I am confused...why not on a Stick??? I mean as long as you are in say 3rd gear where you are not red lining in 2 seconds like you would in first... I dont see the problem

when the rev limiter cuts fuel and power, let off. Is there a formula for the amount of times per day to floor it or not ? No. I just sold my rig with a modular, it had 140,000 miles on it, didn't burn a drop of oil, and ran like a striped *** ape. An if you do have an automatic, the transmission wears less with higher rpm shifts. Mushy shifts kill automatics, they're mushy when it slips, slipping causes heat and heat kills automatics. Floor it whebnever you want, for the motor, it won't hurt. The rest of the car will wear a bit faster, but not at 30 or 40,000 miles. Enjoy,,,,speed.

in a stick you control how long you hold each gear my point is dont drive around in excess of 5000 rpms. yea WOT leads to less mpg but if your concerned about going fast and getting the most mpg buy an import if you wanna have fun drive how you want.

it does not hurt the car to drive at wot a few times a day. if thats the only way you drive then you might not see 200k miles with out a rebuild lol your car will be fine as logn as you maintain it.

I dont drive my car hard on a regular basis and have plenty of fun. I enjoy hearing the car, watching people turn their heads, and the low end torque is good enough to make WOT too muchfor interstate on ramp, intersections etc.

The "to get good MPG you should drive an import" comment was ignorant and lame to say the least.
