i have JBA dual h-pipe setup and it definately builds up high speed faster. not sure about the low end torque since its hard to notice any loss but if its true, it surely makes up for it in the higher rpm's.

you could always run a single 3" catback FYI it will flow better then 2 2.5"

I prefered cutting one pipe instead of three, thus making the Y pipe more favorable.
why would you be cutting three pipes to begin with? all it takes is 5 extra minutes to cut another pipe right beside the one you just cut. and you dont lose enough torque to be noticed, but you do gain a bit in top end power.

its basically the same install, you just cut one pipe instead of two. its not that hard. besides, whats the point of having dual exhaust if its not real?

why does the ECU have to be reset? I hadduals (x pipe) put on a couple of weeks ago and from my understanding it has nothing to do with the 02 sensors. So far no problems.
Anytime you make any change such as intake, exhaust, etc resetting the ECU triggers the system to go through it's "learning" cycle again, and adjust the operating parameters to the setup it finds.

Not sure about this so how do you reset the ECU ? Do you mean by disconnecting the battery ??

I believe by disconnecting the battery for approx. 15 minutes.

Some guys on here say don't worry about it while others say do it. What happens if you don't?

I think if you don't disconnect it then it just may take a period of time for the ECU to reset to new memory

Most exhaust companies/intake companies say to reset the ECU (Disconnect battery) to allow the computer to recognize the new intake/exhaust settings. In your manual, Ford has a series of steps to go through when your battery has been disconnected. It explains the computer needs to relearn conditions such as idle, A/C pump running at full blast, various accelerations etc. I believe this also affects your fuel mileage if you don't go through the steps. Check it out!

Never had any trouble without resetting the ECU (unless they did that at the dealer and I just don't know it)...

I don't think for unmodified cars it makes that much difference.

I had installed the Magnaflow system with the Y pipe and it was too loud for my taste. I have just switchedover to the Pypes true duals with X pipe and street pro mufflers. Much nicer sound and the performance seems a bit better. The installation was much better. I will keep track and see if milage improves.May not cause I like the sound!
