I prefered cutting one pipe instead of three, thus making the Y pipe more favorable.

why would you be cutting three pipes to begin with? all it takes is 5 extra minutes to cut another pipe right beside the one you just cut. and you dont lose enough torque to be noticed, but you do gain a bit in top end power.

its basically the same install, you just cut one pipe instead of two. its not that hard. besides, whats the point of having dual exhaust if its not real?
I wasn't saying more favorable for EVERYONE, it was more favorable to ME.
3 cuts -stock over axle pipe, 2 cuts after each cat. Cutting one pipe was enough for my taste.

Thanks, but I'm more than content with my -dual- exhaust

okay, but if you didnt notice, the factory system is put together by clamps. so no need to cut. but whatever.

Oh, I'm quite aware. Being that I have actually done this myself... when the rear end is up on jackstands, the over axle pipe won't just slip
out, it -needs- to be cut off in two pieces.

Try again.

actually, since i also did mine, myself, i also know that you just have to find another jack point on the frame, because otherwise you wont even be able to slip eitherthe driver side mid-pipe or the passenger side midpipe. CAuse if you cant get it out with out cutting, you sure as hell cant get it in.

Its true i dont have any fancy pics or descriptions up for my car, but its not because i have a stock sixer. im just to lazy to put them up on thissite. i didnt join here to brag. i came to learn and share what i know.

So, my good sir. you only need TWO cuts. You just took the easy way out. and dont tell me to try again. i am young but im not stupid. i prefer to do the work on my car myself. and i know my car, through and through. so YOU can TRY AGAIN!

Actually... I cut the stock pipe, and was able to get the new pipe in right afterwards...

But, anyway.

I, too am young (17) and I've installed everything on my car with assistance from my Father, and I'm proud of my work.
I know my car just as well, thanks. All I stated was my preferance for the Y pipe over the H, you seem to be the only one
who needs to boast about the all mighty "true duals"... In the end, its an exhaust, it sounds great, it looks great, on a great car.
Chill out...

i merely said TO BEGIN WITH that you will see better performance with more upgrades using true duals, and there is not much more simplicity in installing two Y pipes than making two cuts and using an Xpipe or H pipe. easy upgrade. just depends on how far you plan on going with the car.

This was a question about performance, in which i believe the true duals win out. sorry.
