HELP, my Baltimore street mods gloss black wide stripes arrived today. No where in the instructions does it say how far apart the stripes should be. I expected the hole for the washers to be a small round hole to align over the hole the washer tube comes thru the hood. Instead the hole looks like it is exactly the size and shape of the windshield washer noozle. I was thinking of using a razor and cutting out the paper over the hole and slipping it over the noozle insteat of removing the noozle. What do you think? I'm thinking that I read some where that there should be 2" between the stripes. Does that sound right?

Here's what the instructions say...

2” gap between stripes - Prep for stripe installation – Buy Masking tape in 1 1/2” width. Use this tape to mark the center of the car, and as a guide for stripes. Make sure you carefully center the tape, as this is your guide for stripe installation. **TIP – You do not need to tape the entire length of the car, just the front and rear edges of each part. ****Lay the stripes ¼” off the tape, as you tape is smaller than the gap, which is set at 2”.

2" gap is typical. Like GrayPony said, you lay pieces of masking tape down (11/2") and then line the stripes up a quarter inch from both edges.
