If I am going to put a superstripe on the hood, (in matte black) will it fade? It will be in the sun a lot, so will the quality of the product hold up? And if it does fade, can I replace it without damaging the hood?

 

Well,i can say one side on my matte black sidestripes faded real bad within a few months.Obviously,the side exposed most while parked at my place.I don't think i would do it for a 100% outside car which mine is.

 

What if theyre painted on matte black stripes, will they fade?

They should'nt,but i would call a bodyshop to check .I got prices around 1500-2000(w/clearcoat) for stripes all the way nose to tail for an idea but there alot of variables that could effect price and quality.My understanding is matte black should be cheaper because no clearcoat,but will also leave a slight lip matte over top.
