Default Driver Side Window "Bounce Back"

After returning to my car, I tried to start the car and received no reponse (mechanical or electrical). I then opened my door to get some air and tried to close it. However, the door would not completely close and the window was out of alignment (fully closed, but ajar). I then proceed to try start the car again, and it finally turns over...whew. Still the window will not close properly.

I popped open the manual and found that the window is continously in the "Boince Back" mode. I can completely close the window properly by using "Bounce Back Override" as described in the manual (pg. 45-46). However, I cannot open the door without the window coming out of alignment again. I tried to reset the "Express Up" function to no avail.

Now, I have to exit through the passenger door for security. You guys have any input?

Take it to the dealership. Your car should still be under waranty and they "SHOULD" fix it for free. sorry to hear about that though............who needs windows anyway?

Yeah. I was considering taking it in. I just wanted to check in here first and see if I could avoid any possible hassles at the dealership.

allright...found a fix on another subforum. I have to disconnect the battery WHILE the window is moving to reset....then, re-calibrate. originaly, i was going to try the a simple disconnect of the battery, but i was feeling lazy. ill try it this weekend.

ive had that happen on my Dside and Pside. they dont fully power up or down, or when i closed my doorit wouldnt "bounce"up to seal it.soi went to ford and told them to diagnose the problem and DONT fix it, im not under warrenty, but they fixed itanyway, so i told them i wouldnt pay for it because i specifically told them NOT to fix it. so i got it fixed for free!

it's just great when life brings you pleasant surprises. the pre-mentioned fix seems to have worked well for others. i hope i don't break the trend.
