Default 2007 Roush Stage 3 vs 2007 Shelby GT500

So today my dad and I had some free time and went to a local FORD dealership to test drive some cars for fun and maybe look into our future car...

We test drove the GT500 and ROUSH Stage 3 (also had Roush 427R & Roush Stage 2 on hand.. both very nice looking)
Just wondering what you guys think... I think I would go with the Stage 3 Roush... it was $48,000(no mark up) while the GT500 had a $30,000 mark up!!! bringing the total asking price to $70,000 [sm=yikesomg.gif] Save alot of money with the Roush.. and if I remember correctly the GT500 true dyno HP is somewhere near 400.

Like that one TOPGEAR episode ROUSH vs GT500... made the Roush look so fun... I started liking Roush alot more.

Race Track Fast ROUSH Stage 3 --- 415 hp and 385 ft./lbs
Drag Straight Line Fast GT500 --- 500 hp and 480 torque

the gt500 is by far the better choice if you can get passed the invoice. I know a few people have gotten em around msrp which is just about what stage 3's go for. The gt500 has WAAAAY more potential, awesome power stock, looks way better (imo), and is just way more eye catching.

Think of it this way, a GT500 can be modified with all the same parts as the Roush (at MSRP), and still have more HP, the price would be very similar (less than 6k difference if you do the work yourself) and it would look better.

yeah your right... GT500 has way more potential... but that roush was so awesome [sm=gears.gif]

[ Maybe to make it more comparable... Which is preferred STOCK w/o aftermarket mods? ]

You also one day think about selling your car, which one do you think might sell for more? I'm hoping the Cobra.
