just ordered my cai/tune combo....
.....from vmp. i got the c&l/xcal2 package with 87 performance, 87 mileage, and 91 performance tunes. i'm definitely excited and can't wait for them to come in. how difficult is it to install myself? does it come with everything i'll need? what tools would i need? keep in mind i'm pretty much mechanically incompetent. if it would prove too difficult to do myself, where could i take it to have someone else install it? just looking for info so i'm prepared when it arrives. oh, and one more question. the code i sent to justin wasn't the computer code, and he told me he would guess. if, however, the car wouldn't start after flashing the tune, he told me to flash it back to stock and to use the xcal2 to "read strategy," and then to email him that strategy code. any ideas how to do this? thanks guys. oh yeah, and it would still satisfy my curiosity to be able to locate the computer (or calibration) code.....i'd just like to know where it is. apparently i have no idea where to look for it and would just like some clear directions as to where to look.

RE: just ordered my cai/tune combo....
It's really easy.. just take your time and check everything twice.
Also.. remember that the screws that are used in the plastic MAF housing cannot be used in the C&L's MAF housing.. the C&L kit comes with its own screws.
The stock screws are self-tapping screws made for plastic.. The C&L screws have a regular thread and are designed to fit into the aluminum MAF housing.
There is a instruction thread on how to load the tunes.. but it's pretty easy.
