The cheapest I've seen the sts turbo was $4k but there might be lower prices, I don't know. And that's as cheap as the hi-po X-Charger! And can make a hell of a lot more power than it!

May be a little cheaper than other turbos but for an extra 200-400 I'd rather get something that is more secure. I dont like the idea of the turbo sitting out where the muffler is...to easy to steal it.

When I do it, Im ripping the pony emblems off the sides and putting these bad boys on

I hope they cover the holes that are left when you remove the ponies.

I think I'm going to go with the vortech v2 non intercooled.

I figure it'll give me 290hp (at the crank) which means about 260-270 rwhp. Then with my other mods (exhaust, LT headers) it will put me at about 285 rwhp.

Then if I want more power, I can upgrade to a better pulley and run 8.6 psi, and put me at about 300 rwhp.

I don't race, so I'm not looking for a super fast car, I just want to have more fun, get bragging rights (lol), and have a nice engine set up for car shows.

Plus 3200 bucks for 285 rwhp is real nice, considering if I was to go the N/A way I'd be spending about 2grand for maybe 50 hp!
Plus vortech has the best warranty 3 year/36000 miles.

I can't wait to join the big boys club!
I can't wait to blow my car......errr uhhh you know what I mean.

With the stock 5psi pulley u won't get 260rwhp. Probably 270-290hp crank and 230-245rwhp. With the 8.6psi pulley, u'll easily see 270rwhp(320-330hp crank). WithLT headers and exhaust I'd say near 300rwhp and probably 350-370hp crank if u dyno or not. Goodluck!

I like the 8.6psi numbers. How much is that pulley?
